Maintenance Associate – Welder
Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Associate - Welder to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for shop maintenance as well as seat fabrication & welding, ensuring the quality and durability of the welds produced. The position will require the candidate to report directly to the Maintenance Supervisor.
Responsibilities:
Maintain equipment safety and ensure efficiency
Perform regular maintenance on all equipments to ensure it remains in good working condition
Ensure the quality and durability of the yields produced
Maintain shop to ensure production targets
Identify areas for productivity improvements and work with the maintenance supervisor to implement solutions
Document maintenance and production activities using established systems
Follow established safety procedures and guidelines at all times
Requirements:
ITI or equivalent
Proven experience in maintainance
Knowledge of welding techniques, materials, and equipment
Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and diagrams
Familiarity with safety procedures and guidelines for welding operations
Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills
Good time management skills and ability to work independently or as part of a team
Performance Metrics:
Number of welded seats produced without breakdown: measures the productivity in terms of the quantity of seats produced within a specific timeframe.
Downtime: measures the amount of time the operators are not working due to various reasons, identifying areas for productivity improvements.
